This project was conducted for the design agency Runius design and the customer Lightflex. The task was to integrate Lightflex technology, an active printed light, on a range of textile products, and also provide the light with smart features that should be accessed through an app. The target group was young active people in an urban environment. The design process was largely user-centered with continuous contact with potential end users, such as discussions, interviews, cultural probes and focus groups. The end result was prototypes of a product range consisting of a running jacket, a pair of cyclists' gloves and a backpack for everyday users, as well as a mobile application from which the products could be controlled.
